Fortnite how to set up parental controls

If you are concerned about the number of hours and influence of Fortnite on your child, it would be essential to set up parental controls on it. Find out how to set it up here. Fortnite is one of the most popular games of recent years. It is impossible, even for non-gaming adults, to miss it. It brings together millions of players around the world and of different ages. That being said, it can quickly drain efforts and distract children from their studies. To help parents and allow players to control their time, Epic Games has set up a parental control system.

What is Fortnite’s parental control system?

Fortnite’s growth in recent years has not only brought good things to Epic Games. The publisher has been criticized for the game’s addictive nature. That’s why it has decided to strengthen its protection measures. In addition to the age restrictions already present on skins and game modes, this parental control system offers parents control over the playing time and content that children access.

In total, the control system offers 12 options, including game time control, game access time slot, online interactionin-game purchases, etc. As for game time, for example, 30 minutes before the deadline, the player receives a notification that his game session is about to end. He can request an extension, which the parent can accept or refuse.

Either way, this parental control system allows you to keep an eye on your child’s activities on Fortnite, the content they access, and the people they interact with.

How to enable parental controls on Fortnite?

Parental controls on Fortnite can be set up on all platforms on which the game is played: mobile, home consoles, and portable consoles. You can also activate it directly from your phone. To set it up, things are rather simple. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Go to Epic Games/login
  • Log in to the player account of your child for whom you wish to set up parental controls.
  • Tap the player icon, select the account, and in account settings select Parental controls.
  • Set a 6-digit PIN code (your child must not see it of course)
  • Set up the various controls you want and log out.

Parental control is now supported. Memorize the PIN code and make sure it does not fall into the hands of your child. Otherwise, he or she may change the control or even delete it.
